Enhancing your soil,
planting medium, top dressing
BioVam is not a fertilizer but contains a highly adapted Mycorrhizal
fungus which seeks out mineral and other nutrients to feed to its
symbiotic host plant. Since BioVam does not provide these and since
most soils are nutrient-organic poor, we highly recommend using
this very productive recipe when using BioVam to maximize its performance
with plants. Use as the planting medium for seeds and bare rootstock.
Mix into the soil when planting transplants, as a top dressing around
your treated plants or as a potting soil in containers: 8-cups favorite
potting soil mix. We recommend Black Gold Organic. 2-cups Gypsum.
1-cup of organic fertilizer rated 2% or less in phosphorus. We recommend
Biosol but Cottonseed meal can be substituted. 2 cups perlite, 1/4-cup
Rock Phosphate 0-3-0 or less, 1/4-cup Ironite. Continue mixing these
quantities until you have what you need. Mix well and use.
Orchids
The above potting soil mix and roots treated with BioVam® have
caused Orchid plants to produce vigorous growth and has caused spikes
to form quickly to produce vibrant colored blooms. A mycologist
found VAM fungi in Orchids growing in India. That prompted us to
experiment here and the preliminary results are very promising.
Orchid plants don't normally benefit from VAM fungi.
Roses
BioVam treated Roses resist powdery mildew and black spot fungal
diseases. Leaves and stems tend to be larger and greener. One flush
of blooms after another is typical and the colors are vibrant. Cuttings
taken from BioVam treated Roses take longer to dry out. Transplant
losses are greatly reduced.
Vegetable & Flower
Gardens
BioVam treated garden vegetables mature earlier, have higher yields,
have excellent flavor, and after harvest are more resistant to spoilage.
Walla Walla sweet Onions mature in Spokane's short growing season
and resist spoiling after harvesting. Peppers that generally do
not mature in the Spokane area are often into a second crop by the
end of the season. When brought inside before the first frost they
continue producing all winter long. BioVam® is excellent for
sustained inside growing.
"It's really exciting, you know," remarks Thomas "that
one of our retailers, Chester Feed and Tack on the corner of Bowdish
and Dishman Mica Roads, are growing their own vegetables on site
for their produce stand as well as plants in their little greenhouse
using our products." Thomas adds, "The 'Chester' corner
there has a rich proprietorship history of over a hundred years,
serving a large geographical area. They're a new business with an
old town look. They just opened this spring. People are excited
they're there and are really supportive. I can identify with the
effort that takes. They got a late start this year, but once they
get the bugs worked out and all their beds made and more stuff growing
- well, if you want quality that's where you're going to find it."
Seeds, Seedlings-Transplants,
Bare rootstock
Seed germination is significantly increased and enhanced, reducing
time to maturity and planting. Transplant losses are greatly reduced,
oftentimes eliminated altogether: several of our retailer outlets
report 95% reductions in their transplant losses; enhanced root
development, increased bud development, significant reduction of
time to first foliage, larger stem development, deeper greening,
significant increase overall to treated plants appearance of vigor
and vitality compared to untreated.
Berries
BioVam treated everbearing Raspberry and Strawberry plants will
bear all summer long. Raspberries are sweet and flavorful and plants
often do not require any insect sprays or fungicide sprays because
they naturally resist such problems. Certain soil borne diseases
find it difficult to continue their attack on the roots of Raspberry
plants because the habitat sustaining such diseases is made unfriendly
by the influence of BioVam's mycorrhiza in the soil. Clay soils
are modified so Air and water can easily penetrate. Earthworm populations
and activity often significantly increase around plants treated
with BioVam.
Quaking Aspen &
Other Trees
Quaking Aspen trees treated with BioVam around their drip lines
will resist the Black Leaf fungi disease. As far as we know, we
have the only solution to significantly reducing the occurrence
of Black Leaf fungus on Quaking Aspen trees. Fruit trees develop
healthier tissues and fruiting bodies, increased yields and exhibit
increased resistance to insects and fungal diseases. Many shade
and ornamental trees exhibit these same enhancements to their vigor
and vitality. Maples are more naturally resistant to aphid infestation.

BioVam Grown
Grapes: A
sign of quality
BioVam
gives growers a huge edge at less expense. Grape production
is increased on fewer plants. New plants come into production
sooner. Flavor is enhanced. Brick sugar levels are easier
to achieve.

Grapes
BioVam treated grape plants will produce grapes in the second year
and can naturally resist the intrusion of most fungal diseases.
Grapes are more flavorful and will ripen earlier. We have seen that
grapes with one seed are the same size as grapes with three and
four seeds. Clusters are larger and the berries are uniform in size.
"Last year we treated 3/4ths of an acre of three different
varieties of wine grapes at China Bend Vineyards and Organic Gardens,
in Kettle Falls, WA." Thomas Giannou says. "The owners
were so impressed with the performance and results they got they're
now treating their entire vineyard and all their organic vegetable
gardens."
House Plants
BioVam treated houseplants retain more water, thus are more drought
resistant and recover quicker if allowed to dry out. Plants sensitive
to cold temps and sunlight are more resistant to being damaged.
Plant vitality and vigor are significantly increased. When the above
potting soil recipe is used, plant performance is consistently enhanced.
Vine plants such as Pathos often regenerate leaves on the vine without
forcing them by cutting back on the vines. BioVam also sustains
the beauty, vigor and vitality of your holiday plants.
