The first annual Mayor's Gala Ball, featuring dinner and dancing
to the Spokane Jazz Orchestra, was held this past Saturday night,
March 29, 2003 at the Valley Doubletree. This event was part of
the Incorporation Celebration Week for the City of Spokane Valley,
Washington.
Over 350 excited Valley residents crowded into the plush ballroom
dressed in formal wear to celebrate this pivotal event. Mayor Mike
DeVlemming toasted to the fomation of the new city and the dancing
and celebration began.
The new City of Spokane Valley, Washington will encompass 38.5
square miles and have a population of 80,693 residents.
The ball was made possible by the following sponsors:
