This year's Valleyfest 2002 theme was "A Salute to our Heroes and Flag." Our Grand Marshals were Spokane County Sheriff MARK STERK and Spokane County Fire Chief MARK GROVER.

Also featured were the the Kelly Hughes Band, the Spokane County Fire Firefighters, the Angus Scott Pipe Band and the Inland Northwest Dance Association. This year's Valleyfest event took Place on September 21st, 2002

The community event features a Pancake Fun Run, a traditional Parade up McDonald Road that ends at Terrance View Park at Blake and 24th in the Spokane Valley and a Free Variety Show. This year's Master of Ceremonies was Wally Keith.

Many display booths are set up featuring community groups, local businesses and or course, lots of great food. There are many free activities for children.
