Community Health Education and Resources will offer a free heart health screening on Saturday, Feb. 21, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Deaconess Health Education Center, 910 W. Fifth Ave. in Spokane. The event will include tests for total cholesterol, blood pressure, blood glucose, body mass index and body fat percentage. Attendees are also encouraged to bring their medications for review by a healthcare professional.
A full lipid panel will be offered for $20.

CHER will present a class on preventing heart disease on Thursday, Feb. 19, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Providence Auditorium, 20 W. Ninth Ave. in Spokane. The event is free and includes a light meal. Call the number above to register.
