Inaugural Parade as part of the "Vision of America" inaugural
theme. It was a great honor for us to be asked to

The Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce held their second
2004 Awards Gala Honoring 2004’s Outstanding Businesses
and Community Leaders this past Saturday night, January
15, 2004 at the Mirabeau Park Hotel in the city of Spokane
Valley, Washington. A silent auction was also held to
benefit the Miss Spokane Valley Ambassador Program. The
guest host was KXLY-TV News Anchor Richard Brown. View

16th to 18th. Owned by brothers Arthur & Martin Ruggiero,
the Ace Hardware store is a new business addition to the
City of Spokane Valley. Mayor Mike DeVleming, Deptuy Mayor
Diana Wilhite, City Council members, The Spokane Valley
Chamber of Commerce and Miss Spokane Valley welcomed them
with open arms to our community during the ribbon cutting

of the Daybreak Climb a Mountain Run
The Daybreak Climb a Mountain Run fundraiser was held
July 10th. The course starts at Riverfront Park in Spokane,
Washington and ends up at the summit of Mt. Spokane, some
34.3 miles away. Daybreak is a community based, non-profit
organization that provides counseling and treatment to
chemically affected teens and their families. Info: (509)

The
1st Annual Bow Tie Affair Fundraiser
was held to benefit the Spokane Valley Community Center
help low-income families in our community. A crowd of
over 150 were treated to a wonderful prime rib dinner
and raffle at Decades Banquet Hall. Last year the Center
provided assistance to over 62,000 individuals - providing
emergency assistance, food, clothing, and educational
programs.

Garden
Expo 2004 featured over 175 exhibitors offering the
latest in garden deco, products and plants. Sponsored
by the Inland Empire Gardeners this past May 8th, people
and exhibitors from all over the Inland Northwest attended.
Featured were small nurseries, garden crafters, artists
and garden organizations.

Quilt
Fundraiser at Garden Expo 2004. Quilt designed and
made by Karyn Jeffrey and quilted by Belinda LaBounty
of Kindres Spirits Quilting as a raffle fund-raiser for
Spokane Floral Association. Focused on the floral beauty
of spring "Stars and Flowers" helped Spokane's
oldest garden club (since 1896).

City of Spokane Valley, Washington's first State of the
City presentation. "We are here today to share
with you the accomplishments, plans and dreams of a young
city. I'm going to talk about what has been accomplished
in just over a year's time."

Home Society of Washington held a ribbon cutting ceremony
Friday, April 2, 2004. The Spokane Resource Center serves

were on hand for the groundbreaking ceremon |
The
Historic Opportunity Township Hall has been identified
as the most appropriate location for the proposed Spokane
Valley Heritage Center Museum. Consisting of approximately
3000 square feet, it provides ample exhibit and storage
space, kitchen facilities and is mechanically sound.
