Horizon Credit Union made history when it opened its new Liberty Lake Branch. Horizon is the first and only full service credit union in Liberty Lake, to open a full service branch to serve the community.

With the opening of the Liberty Lake branch, Horizon now serves one of the fastest developing areas in the Inland Northwest. The 3,300 square foot full service credit union, features two drive-thru lanes, sit down teller stations, spacious member lounge, kids' play area, interactive Internet banking station, and safe deposit boxes.

Promoting early saving and financial health, Horizon encourages children to open Minor Share (savings) accounts. The Minor Share account continues to earn dividends like a regular Share savings account, but only requires a minimum balance of $5.00. Children who open new Minor accounts at the Liberty Lake branch also take home a piggy bank (while supplies last). Open a Horizon checking account and receive a practical Horizon traveling mug.

With this Liberty Lake addition, Horizon now has the most branches (12) of any locally based Credit Union in the Inland Northwest, ranging from Sandpoint to Davenport. Horizon Credit Union utilizes community and occupation charters, expanding membership to individuals living or working in Eastern Washington and North Idaho.

Horizon's competitive product mix includes low rates on consumer loans (cars, hot tubs, boats), home loans, home equity loans, and personal lines of credit as well as high dividend rates on IRA's, Share Certificates, Share Savings, and more. The Horizon checking account, earns dividends with an average daily balance of $500.

A few other products include VISA credit cards, Debit, and ATM cards, and safety deposit boxes. Horizon has made it easy to bank at home through their online Home banking system and Bill Payer. The 24-hour Teller Express service provides fund access and management through the telephone touchtone keypad.

Horizon Credit Union, established in 1947, is a nonprofit state chartered financial institution. Horizon is dedicated to improving the financial well being of individuals and families residing in the Inland Northwest. Visit their website: www.hzcu.org
