The
Marriott Residence Inn celebrated the grand opening of their newest
property in the Spokane Valley, August 16, 2001. The new all-suite
property features 84 suites that are ideal for long-term stay. The
Spokane
Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Spokane
Regional Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Spokane
Area Chamber were there to welcome them to the community.
In keeping with the Residence Inn theme of providing long-term
guest with all the comforts of home, the grand opening celebrations
featured a home-style barbecue, homemade ice cream and wines from
Spokane's local Latah
Creek winery.
"We are so excited to start welcoming guests" said Dana
Murray, general manager of the Residence Inn. "Most of
our guests are in town on business and stay with us for a week or
longer. It is important for them to have a place where they can
feel comfortable and welcome. We have taken a lot of care to anticipate
the needs of our business traveler so when they arrive, everything
is just right."
