Sheriff Community Oriented Policing Effort

Spokane County Washington

About Us

WHO WE ARE
S.C.O.P.E. (Sheriff Community Oriented Policing Effort) is a philosophy and community perspective rather than a specific program or new law enforcement tactic.

S.C.O.P.E. Provides:
  • Neighborhood Outreach Stations
  • Community Oriented Policing

Many neighborhoods face mounting pressures tied to increased growth, diversity and new public safety issues.

OUR MISSION
  • To provide a safe living environment for the community.
  • To increase citizen's awareness of, and involvement in, community-oriented services in partnership with the Spokane Sheriff's Department.
  • To foster community spirit.

S.C.O.P.E. Volunteers Working Together

WE BELIEVE…
The Answer is Teamwork
Law enforcement and citizens working together toward a common goal.

WE BELIEVE…
That citizens and law enforcement share responsibility in promoting public safety and preventing crime.

WE BELIEVE…
That organized neighborhood groups and law enforcement must unite. The Office of the Sheriff, Spokane County intends to work in partnership with organized neighborhood groups to establish outreach stations in those communities.

The success of a community's outreach station rests on the depth of that community's commitment to making the station work.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
Join your Spokane County neighbors in making tomorrow a safer day. Together we can make a difference in the quality of life in our community.
