The S.C.O.P.E. University station is a partnership of Sheriff's Deputys and volunteer community citizens working together as a team to help make our community a safer place to live. S.C.O.P.E. is an acronym for Sheriff's Community Oriented Policing Effort. The University station is one of 16 volunteer community stations within Spokane County.

General S.C.O.P.E. University meetings take place the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. The location is the University station at 10621 E. 15th Ave., just two blocks south of University High School. The station phone number is (509) 477-2582. S.C.O.P.E. University co-chairs are Irene Gardner and Ann Richey.

A current project is the Operation Family I.D. of taking digital pictures or every school kid and giving the parent the image on a computer floppy disk. We also take pictures of the family members too.
